I am bearish on retail in general, but WMT is reaping the fruit of the US consumder trading down to cheaper costing products. There are several WMT stores in my area (decent population), and they are always packed. Usually there are at least 5 customers in line before me, and most of the checkout aisles are open to accomodate the traffic. If the trade-down continues, WMT stands to benefit in back-to-school sales vs. more expensive retailers.
