As U.S. stocks continue to struggle under seemingly unrelenting selling pressure, tech-sector heavyweight EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC) plunged today into single-digit territory for the first time in more than two years. In fact, EMC earlier fell to $9.35, its lowest price since August 2004. However, today's losses are simply an extension of the stock's long-term trend -- EMC has steadily declined since November 2007 under pressure from its 10-month and 20-month moving averages.

Added to my long position in this company which i feel is highly undervalued. Aside from their ownership in VMWare which is seeing tremendous growth in enterprise data centers, I simply see a lot of value in their core business in data storage. I will continue to add to my position on price drops unless fundamentals change significantly.
we have a symbiotic relationship between EMC and VMWare. VMW is a recent IPO that nearly every analysis compares to or mentions the Google IPO. VMW has nearly trippled since 2 month old debut. With EMC getting ready to spin-off VMware soon. (Still not for sure on the date of the IPO) EMC is a buy and a steal at under $18.00/share. This stock is dirt cheap in a struggling market, however; this is a good company and it is tech season so take advantage of the money wagon and back up the truck and put some trust into EMC... If you can get in and buy the stock at 18 or under you could make some serious $$$. Some are predicting the stock to go to $25/ share however most are being conservative with a $22.25-22.50 estimate. VMWare is the future of not only IT cost reduction, but for companies with a large hardware footprints will run to this technology to reduce cost. It exponentially increases production and efficiency, and will only grow with time. EMC will with a 90% stake after the IPO will wreak the benefits of this.
Upcoming IPO of VMWare, a rapidly growing division purchased in 2003. Trading at about 18$ for about 20 times 2008 earning estimates (most of competitors are around 30 times earnings). Also the company currently has a buyback authorization for 105M shares where 35M were bought back before the quarter ending March 31st.
