I bought in and currently have a cost basis of $5.20.  I purchased on the down side, and now on the upside.  Huntington lost majority of it's value due to Sky bank aq, and then the sub prime crunch.  The largest worry was that the bank had gone insolvent, it hasn't and has an A- credit rating.  The dividend represents a substantial yield, and they posted earnings not losses this...

Yes Cramer the banking stocks are in a bad way. HBAN has been off my list since 1990 but now I am adding it back on. Insiders holding as well as institutions adding not to mention a 7% dividend and options up to 2010. A ST risk yes. LT a great payback. Buy lo ans sell HI. I own NYB which did great now it is HBAN turn....
