Second only to China, South Africa offers the best opportunity to come out ahead of the game.  The reasons, of course are various, but I propose that SA is closer linked to Chinese growth than any other part of the world; at least in the short-term.  Too bad we here in the US have only limited access to South African public companies.  I wish we had SABMiller; but, hey. SSL and AAUK ...

Sasol has the best Fischer-Tropsch technology (converting coal to gasoline). South Africa depended on this technology during apartheid. Sasol is expanding into the two biggest consumers China and the US which happen to have the biggest coal deposits.
