Graphic_rating_buy Bullish on BBI.B ...   about BBI.B   09/15/09
My understanding is that this is the same thing as A shares except each share is entitled to 2 votes. I did not do extensive research, but if that's the case the B shares are selling at about a 40% di...

Graphic_rating_buy Woof, Woof!   about RAD   08/02/09
What do you get when you decide to buy the dog of the drugstore chains on December 31, 2008? Why, a gain of 370%!!! This much maligned drugstore chain is slowly creeping out of the cellar and few are...

Graphic_rating_buy Bullish on MTW ...   about MTW   07/29/09
This Company that no one seems to be able to pronounce was highly touted for years. Most notably last year as it wound its way down to these levels, many tv commentators were recommending it. Were th...

Graphic_rating_buy Bullish on FCG ...   about FCG   07/29/09
I have been trying to get my arms around the natural gas sector for awhile. The "pure play" UNG appears to be heavily manipulated and too volatile for me. FCG appears to be more rational. With natur...

Neutral on DPO ...   about DPO   07/29/09
I really like this one so far. It tracks the DOW and pays 17 cents a month. Yes, that's 17 cents a month. Its made it through the crash with its 16% dividend intact and I'm hoping for a long-term ri

Airlines Can't Make You Money, Right? 08/05/09
Except for LUV, airlines is a sector that most pro's make a living from bashing. They'll never make a profit they say. So what about the investor? It would be very hard to be holding a major airline stock long-term, that's a given. But what about today? Keep in mind that UAUA is up over 10% today so its easy to say I told you so. UAUA was a $40 stock last year before the energy crisis str...

Re: Can Integrys Play with the Big Boys? 08/02/09
I forgot to add that WPS stands for Wisconsin Public Service.

Can Integrys Play with the Big Boys? 08/02/09
Integrys took a mighty fall in the last year as the market in general and energy related issues came under fire. What will TEG do about this situation? First of all, TEG has been there before. As WPS, it also took a mighty fall to the point where investors came back recognizing a value play in this company as well as a nice dividend. This time is a little different. TEG got involved ...

Re: Marshall & IIsley - Another regional in trouble 07/29/09
The "smarter" banks will increase loan loss provisions while the sector is down. Why? Loan loss provisions are generally a guess, perhaps an educated guess in many instances, but hardly perfection. By increasing loss provisions when no one expects the sector to perform well will open the door to an earnings surprise down the road. It never ceases to amaze me how "analysts" will pour over fi...

Re: Bullish on HOV ... 07/29/09
HOV should continue to benefit as the housing market recovers.

Re: Bullish on RAD ... 07/27/09
Apparently the 1Billion dollar loan with lead underwriter GE has begun to allay fears about RAD's continued existence. The Stock is making a nice move this morning.
